Independant Field Audit Program
As every customer knows Well-Pict has always had high quality standards. To provide increased confidence for Well-Pict, it’s customers, and the consumers Well-Pict adopted a INDEPENDENT FIELD AUDIT PROGRAM (IFA Program) which applies to EVERY grower providing product to be shipped under the Well-Pict label. This program is designed to have all growers’ fields undergo initial analysis as well as scheduled reviews and tests. The analysis, reviews, and tests will be conducted and certified by a INDEPENDENT agencies. It is important to note that, in order to provide the best results, the Program requires that all audit procedures be conducted agents or employees of a third party.

Food Safety is everyone’s concern and Well-Pict believes that it’s the IFA Program will serve many important functions. Perhaps the most important of those functions are 1) to make each and every grower aware of all of the issues that relate to the food safety and 2) to provide a independent audit of factors relating to food safety. As mentioned above the independent audit will be a comprehensive review of specific elements in the growing process performed by an outside firm under a contract with Well-Pict and not controlled by the grower.

There are a number of elements in the IFA Program. Some of the audit elements are designed to determine present and historical uses of land being used for producing Well-Pict product. The adjoining property will also be scrutinized as it could affect our growers’ land. The type, quality, and purity of the fertilizers and water used by the growers are also elements. In the case of water, quarterly testing of surface reservoirs is required. Chemical use is important to everyone connected with our products and the IFA Program requires that all applications must be based upon and follow specific recommendations of Well-Pict’s consultants in order to insure consumer safety and full compliance with applicable laws. Lastly, under the IFA Program, the safety and hygiene of our growers’ employees receive frequent and detailed attention, particularly during harvest.
