KITCHEN GOBLINS
You know the ones I’m talking about…they’re about knee-high, often sticky with the remnants of whatever they last got into, and prone to plaintive wails of being booorrreeeddd or hunnnggrrryyy. They’re most often found whirling around kitchen islands, but they can unexpectedly leap out from just about any room in the house! And, it may be our imaginations, but it seems like this time of year, they’re even more goblin-y than normal! While we may not be able to help with the messes, mayhem, or general tiny-troll shenanigans, we can provide tools to assist you in your next boredom and hunger side quests. The recipes that follow are fun, delicious, and perfect for the little hands (claws?) that need to be kept busy and the little round tummies that need to be filled.
To start, let’s get what regular readers of this blog know is coming, out of the way. That’s right, the monster strawberry cupcakes. Just behold their wondrousness. They showed up in last year’s Halloween post, and the, ahem, Halloween post the year before that. And, you know what? They’ll be right here next year as well. Because, well, if you can’t see why, we don’t even know who you are anymore. It probably should be mentioned that we do not know or have any connection to the folks at Yummy Crumble, but kudos to them for making us giggle every single October.
