Spring Forward with Strawberries

We’re just a few days away from Daylight Saving Time going into effect for 2018. The spring half of DST is, unfortunately, not the one where we all get to collectively hit snooze and sleep in for an extra, magical hour. It’s the one where we all must sacrifice a bit of precious time in order to gain some sun in our spring and summer evenings. Whether you’re a fan of the system or not, it does mean longer, brighter, warmer days are just around the corner. It just might not feel that way come Sunday.
Our Power Bowls are a great way to give yourself- and your family- a healthy and long-lasting boost this slightly shortened weekend. The recipe takes little to no time to prepare and is fully customizable. We like to use microwavable quinoa packs and pre-roasted almonds in this, which basically brings the prep time down to zilch, and also makes it something even the littlest kiddos can help put together. The final product ends up tasting like you did spend upwards of an hour in the kitchen, so maybe by the time your family sits down to eat, the time loss won’t seem like such a big deal, after all.
