TALKING TIKTOK RECIPE RABBIT HOLES
At this point in our planet’s evolution and proliferation of social media, it’s unlikely you’re completely unfamiliar with TikTok. But, if you’re Gen X or older, and could perhaps use a bit of an explanation or clarification, here’s a quick rundown:
TikTok is a social media platform that hosts short-form videos. A TikTok video can be up to 10 minutes, but the most popular ones are short and sweet (think 20 seconds). While TikTok (very) quickly became something of a kingmaker when it comes to beauty, clothing, and lifestyle brands (“TikTok made me buy it” has become such a thing, Amazon has an ongoing curated list of these popular items), it is also known to set cooking, crafting, and other DIY trends on complete and total fire. And what does that mean for you? Well, in addition to providing your next cleaning, household, or makeup obsession, TikTok also has everything you need to descend into a deep, deep recipe rabbit hole.
Here at Well•Pict Berries, we unsurprisingly gravitate toward the raspberry and strawberry recipes (and the quicker and more unique the better—especially when hosting summer gatherings). And it seems like just about every year berries, especially strawberries, get a nice moment in the sun. Last year we had deviled strawberries (described by some as a “Wendy’s Frosty in a strawberry”) and this year it appears it’s “strawberry bites” that have infatuated the berry obsessed among us. The reason TikTok recipe rabbit holes are so fun is that they stretch your idea of what can be done with common and familiar ingredients (like a beautiful 100% recyclable clamshell of Well•Pict Berries strawberries). We all know shortcakes and smoothies and the like, but who doesn’t want to duplicate a Frosty’s flavor in a delicious berry bite or create a crunchy chocolate and yogurt strawberry confection in a few easy steps? So get out your computer and your Well•Pict Berries and get tok-ing and creating! Yum!
